The investor brief
Alfred is at pre-prototype stage, raising a small founder round to reach a demonstrable product and its first paid installs. The materials go out on request.
The thesis
An operating system for high-value individuals
AI does the intelligence. Automation does the routine work. Humans handle the exceptions. One secure memory sits underneath all three, owned by the individual it serves.
The competition is instructive: executive assistants have judgement but no persistent recall; concierge services fulfil brilliantly without cross-domain context; family offices do this properly but only above a scale most people never reach; general AI assistants reason well with no private memory, no integrations and no approval layer.
Where the defensibility actually is
Not the chat interface, the calendar integration, the transcription, or the model — all of that is commodity. The moat is the accumulated personal memory graph, the preference graph, workflow history, the permission system and earned trust. Every one of those takes real calendar time with a real customer to build, and none of them can be shortcut by a competitor with more capital.
What the first raise funds
- A professional developer focused on security and production hardening
- Legal groundwork: structuring, licensing review, customer terms and data documentation
- White-glove onboarding time for the first design-partner installs
How progress will be reported
Against milestones, not projections: a prototype running a real life daily; three to five paid pilots with measurable hours returned; then early traction with repeat usage, low churn and at least one referral-sourced customer. No five-year ARR table is published, because at this stage it would be fiction.

Prefer to watch first?
The build notes go out roughly monthly, and they say what broke as well as what shipped.
